There is a special kind of magic that happens when our “Plant Tribe” gathers under the canopy of the trees. The air smells a little sweeter, the tea tastes a little better, and the conversations flow as naturally as the nearby mountain creeks.
We are so excited to officially invite you to the HERBalachia Spring Respite Weekend. This is a retreat-style event designed to help us all press "pause," breathe deep, and reconnect with the land and each other.
Why We’re Gathering
In our fast-paced world, we often talk about the healing power of plants, but the most potent medicine of all is often found in respite. This campout is our way of creating a container for that rest. Whether you are a current student, an alum of our Lifestyle Program, or someone who is brand new to the HERBalachia family, all are welcome. This isn’t just a weekend in the woods; it’s a chance to share stories around the fire, learn from the local flora, and soak in the wisdom of our Appalachian heritage in the most immersive way possible.
Choose Your Own Adventure (No Camping Required!)
We want this retreat to be accessible and comfortable for everyone. While we love the sound of a zipper on a tent in the morning, we know that sleeping outdoors isn’t for everyone. That is perfectly okay!
The Full Experience: Pitch a tent or park your camper to stay right in the heart of the magic.
The "Glamping" Vibe: For those who prefer a solid roof and a cozy mattress, there are local lodging options, such as nearby cabins or suites, that allow you to enjoy the daytime festivities and retreat to a warm bed at night.
Day Trippers: If you can’t stay the night, you are still a vital part of the circle! Join us for the workshops, meals, and herb walks during the day.
What to Expect
While we keep the schedule spacious to allow for genuine rest, you can look forward to:
Foraging Plant Walks: Discovering the medicine growing right beneath our feet.
Shared Wisdom: Open-air discussions and perhaps a few hands-on demos.
Restorative Time: Plenty of "unplugged" hours to read, meditate, or simply sit by the fire.
Kinship: Reconnecting with old friends and meeting the new faces that make our community so vibrant.
Register Today
Our hearts are already full thinking about the laughter and learning this weekend will bring. Space is limited to keep the atmosphere intimate and retreat-like, so be sure to grab your spot soon.
Come as you are. Bring your favorite mug, your curiosity, and your love for the green world. We can’t wait to share this respite time in the woods with you!
With roots and gratitude,
Kat & the HERBalachia Respite Team
