Medical Herbalism

Subject Content:

  • helps herbalists begin to apply herbal actions to medical conditions

  • helps trained medical professional consider herbal options for diseases and dysfunctions seen in the clinic

  • focuses on anatomy/physiology review, herbs for each body system, evidence-based protocols, & traditional herbal formulas

​

Classes are combination of lecture, discussion, and participation with opportunities to sample herbal teas, tinctures, and topical formulas to notice the sensation in the body.

With each body system covered, students will create theoretical formulas for specific practice patients and medical conditions to reinforce the teaching. Students are provided an extensive class handbook of class notes, clinical reviews, and traditional formulas as a foundation to facilitate learning.

30 class hours total

Classes held Saturdays, 9am-12pm, 1pm-3pm

  • Feb 15   Gastrointestinal

  • Feb 22   Pain: Muscular, Neuro, Trauma

  • Mar 22   Mental Health: Mood & Emotions

  • Mar 29   Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat

  • Apr 12   Skin care & Topicals

  • Apr 19    First Aid

Registration:

Basic Registration (full series only): $395 

Nurses Registration (incl. 30 CNE credits): $455 

Attendance is required for CNE certification.
